Accommodation at Daleby House in 2025

Daleby House is in Northumberland, and is centrally located within the village of Beadnell.

Accommodation arrangements

Daleby offers sleeping accommodation for a strict maximum of 10 guests on single beds.

One bedroom has 3 beds; three have 2 beds; and one has 1 bed.  The bedrooms are all located on the ground floor, which also contains a wash-room (toilet, hand basin and shower) and a garden room at the rear, with easy chairs, a television and double doors into the back garden.

The first floor is accessed by an internal staircase, and by an external fire escape staircase at the rear.  It also contains a wash-room; and a kitchen, dining room and living room, which has easy chairs and a television.  The two main rooms have magnificent sea views.

Unfortunately, Daleby House is not well suited to those in wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties on steps and stair cases.
Outside, at the front, there is on-site parking for 2 or 3 vehicles.
Beadnell is not well provided with public transport. The village is currently served by the X18 bus service, provided by Arriva. It runs between Newcastle upon Tyne and Berwick upon Tweed, twice a day in each direction. The nearest rail station to Beadnell on this bus route is at Berwick. Generally, guests need access to their own road transport.
At the rear, guests are welcome to use the enclosed back garden for barbecues, etc., and the outdoor play area, which is to the side (accessed from the garden) on a former tennis court.  Please bear in mind and respect the amenities of neighbouring residents when engaging in outdoor activities.  There is a side gate to the front of the house, which guests might like to secure in some way to give added security to the rear of the house.
We ask guests not to bring pets. Some guests have brought pets in the past, causing considerable discomfort to subsequent visitors who are allergic to animals. The Trustees may be willing to make an exception for guide dogs, by prior agreement.
There is to be NO SMOKING OR VAPING anywhere on the property, indoors or out of doors.
